Best pair to trade now: GBP/USD Posted: 17 Feb 2010 06:00 AM PST Here is my choice for today: http://www.fxstreet.com/technical/forex-strategy/the-best-pair-to-trade-now/2010-02-17.v02.html |
Posted: 17 Feb 2010 04:40 AM PST Japanese yen can’t resist the rise in stocks, and is falling against major rivals. USD/JPY finally leave the range breaking above 90.50/60 area, first support to consider now, and is quickly approaching to 91.00, with a strong resistance level at 91.20/30 area. I would expect the pair at least to halt there, if not retreat. Above that level, next resistance in line is the 91.60 area. Under mentioned 90.50/60 zone, next support comes at 90.25.

Posted: 17 Feb 2010 03:10 AM PST Hi everyone and welcome back! Despite yesterday’s run in Wall Street, followed by Nikkei, I’m a bit surprised this morning finding that European majors did not managed to extend the rallies. Gold is slightly down in the day, and maybe is that what’s favoring current greenback recovery, thus American futures are also above yesterday’s close yet under early high. But I believe that what’s keeping market subdue, is lack of real confidence. One spike does not made a trend, and we are losing yesterday’s confidence if you know what I mean. Anyway, we have a good number of reports in the U.S. today, so seems we will be waiting for that to define if dollar bearish movement will extend or if it was just a correction. Anyway, Euro is testing the 1.2720 area, quite a resistance in the past days. if moves lower, seems we are heading to the 1.3640 area. Pound is also the same breaking 1.5770. I will start posting some more charts today. in the mid time, here is the link for today´s calendar: http://www.fxstreet.com/fundamental/economic-calendar/ Have a great day! |
