Posted: 09 Mar 2010 02:10 AM PST Hi everyone and welcome back. Not a huge surprise, after a quiet choppy Monday, majors are back on the run, and risk aversion again ruling markets. Euro and Pound are strongly down since Asia opening, due to all the economic/political pressure we have been talking about for the past 2 months; in Europe, we are already seeing budget adjustments in other economies but Greece, so the outcome of this particular crisis, will hardly help the currency, if more and more countries fall down; the UK, worries about a Parliament hung, with national election coming, and the chance that the new government won’t be able to deal with its growing debt levels, has sent Pound to test 1.4940 strong area; all in general, we have weakness in the European currencies, strength in yen and dollar, and some limited strength in commodity currencies, same picture of the last two weeks. I will take a look and start posting in an hour or so. Here is the link for today's calendar: http://www.fxstreet.com/fundamental/economic-calendar/ Have a great day |
