Waiting for Greece, EUR/USD technical ideas Posted: 23 Apr 2010 03:57 AM PDT Here is my first choice for today: http://www.fxstreet.com/technical/forex-strategy/the-best-pair-to-trade-now/2010-04-23.v02.html |
Posted: 23 Apr 2010 03:15 AM PDT Hi everyone, and welcome back! Euro fell to 1.3200 early Asia, leading a dollar rally across the board, that was quickly corrected by the rest of the majors, yet not so fast in the EUR/USD cross. Now, seems Euro has find it’s bottom; pair rebounded back to levels above 1.3300, and is holding there, amid some relief on Greece situation taking stocks higher this morning. market is on hold, however, as news that by 11:00 GMT, less than an hour, Greece is going to ask for the aid pack to EU/IMF, keep investors cautious. What will happen?? Well, not easy to say, fut if we regain 1.3350/60 area, and the aid package is confirmed, we could see some interesting recovery in Euro this Friday. Maybe not enough to confirm a trend change; but no doubts, the first step. Pound has been quite choppy since Asia, unable to leave the 1.53/1.54 range, and suffering on weaker GDP for the first quarter. Anyway,I will stay cold for the next hour; I have the feeling some surprises could be seen on the board today. Here is the link for today’s calendar: http://www.fxstreet.com/fundamental/economic-calendar/ Have a great day! |
